Hometown-Networks is positioning
itself to become a leader in the Directory Service market by
providing hand edited directories in every market of the US.
Hometown-Network partnerships are
available on a first come, first serve basis. We are in the
startup phase of our network, so this means there is an extremely
good selection of partnerships available.
In our startup, Hometown-Network
is looking for highly motivated webmasters who can dedicated one or
two hours a day to building their Community Directory. Much
like the Old West, as a Hometown-Network Partner you will have a
defining role in building the network and determining new features
and services that Hometown-Network will offer in the future.
After you sign up, please allow
one week to setup your new Hometown-Network partnership. This
is because we need to create a new custom domain name, like
YOURTOWN.COM, in addition to the Hometown-Network sub-domain.
Also we upload and customize a 100+ page template for your Community
Directory.
Hometown-Networks is creating a
"starter" directories for all of the over 2,000 Community
Directories nationwide. Currently all starter directories are
located in Georgia, but we will be expanding into the Southeast
shortly. These directories are still available for Partner
development and will be upgraded and customized when there is a
Partner to maintain the features of a Partner Community Directory.
However you do not have to wait until we create a starter directory
before signing up.
If you want to create a Community
Directory in any of the 50 United States or Canada, you can signup
now and we will create the need directories for your Partnership
with no additional delay.
We are currently working on a
formal Hometown-Network Partnership agreement and a support web
site. However, a robust support web will not be developed
until the network of Partners expands and we determine what
resources are most valuable to you.
We are currently requiring
Partners to pre-pay the annual $100 Partnership fee. In part
this helps to defray the setup costs of creating a custom directory
and registering the custom domain names, but more importantly it
asks our Partners to make a serious commit to our network and
developing their Community Directory.
Our partners should be
entrepreneurs with good people, HTML and graphic design skills; who
are interested in a ground floor opportunity. The potential
for robust Community Directory market has developed as low-cost,
nationalized ISP service has increased over the last few years.
This has left a local market opportunity for local entrepreneurs to
develop Community Directories and provide both package and
a-la-carte web hosting services based personalized service.
Hometown-Networks had taken the
position that a National Directory of web sites created at the local
level is the most effective way of filling this market niche.
Joining the Hometown-Network will provide a recognizable trade name
while allowing each Partner to develop his own market identity
through a personalized domain name. And as the network
develops dozens of vertical market opportunities will be deployed
and available as additional revenue streams to Partners.
Should you want to reserve a
Community Directory but do not want to go "live" with the Community
immediately, we will accept a deposit. Deposits are 100%
refundable within 30-days and will reserve your Community Directory
for up to 90 days. Deposits are applied to annual partnership
payment. Annual memberships must be paid in full before we can
develop any Community Directory.
